Local Landcare Coordinators
Job Description
Northern Slopes Landcare Association (NSLA) is seeking a motivated and community-focused Local Landcare Coordinator to support and strengthen volunteer Landcare groups across the Moree Plains and Gwydir regions of North West NSW.
This role works directly with local Landcare groups, landholders and community members to build capacity, encourage participation and support practical natural resource management outcomes. The Coordinator acts as a central contact point for groups, provides advocacy and administrative support, assists with project planning and grant activities, and helps connect local priorities with regional and state Landcare programs.
Working collaboratively with NSLA staff, Local Land Services, Landcare NSW and other partners, the position contributes to delivery of the NSW Landcare Program (LP3) outcomes at a local and regional level. The role also supports communication, reporting, membership processes and community engagement, including newsletters and social media.
This is a contracted permanent part-time position (35 hours per week) until June 2027, offering flexible, hybrid working arrangements. Regular travel within the region and occasional out-of-hours commitments are required.
